Our Hospital is Open With Precautions in Place to Keep You & Your Pets Safe

The Animal Medical Center or Southern California is committed to caring for the health and well-being of our employees, customers and our community. With that in mind, we have taken several actions in response to the threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19). 

While we are currently maintaining regular hours we are requesting if you or anyone you live with or have come in contact with has been exposed to COVID-19, have a respiratory illness or flu-like symptoms including fever, cough or shortness of breath or have traveled outside the country, to please stay in your car during your pet’s visit or medication pick-up.

We are offering this curbside option to safely see your pet without risking anyone’s health. We are highly recommending this option to our elderly and immunocompromised clients. 

Once you arrive please call (310) 575-5656 and let us know the best telephone number to contact you. When a staff member is ready they will call you to get pertinent medical information and then will go to the parking lot to collect your pet. Once the patient has been seen by the veterinarian and diagnosed, your pet will be returned to the car with appropriate discharge instructions and/or medications.

We also recommend that you consider utilizing a pet transport service such as Pets to Vets (310) 575-1985. You can download our patient drop-off form and a credit card authorization form to send with the parties that will be bringing in your pet.

Additionally, we have taken the following steps in response to the Coronavirus threat:

All of our professional staff members pride ourselves in keeping a clean practice and have thorough daily cleaning and disinfecting routines including sanitation of all surfaces and doorknobs. We are thoroughly disinfecting all rooms and exam surfaces throughout the day along with providing additional sanitation measures.

We are committed to increasing the cleaning and sanitizing of high traffic areas for our patients and clients to several times daily. 

Hand sanitizer is also available for your convenience.

We are emphasizing the importance of employees and clients to wash their hands before and after appointments using proper hand washing techniques.

We also request the utilization of proper social distancing and to refrain from shaking hands or hugging staff.

Employees are advised to stay at home who are exhibiting any sign of illness.

Our online store is available for home delivery of prescriptions and food orders.

The health and safety of all of our clients, patients and staff is our top priority at this time. Please exercise patience during this time with our new protocols. We may update these protocols as our circumstances are changing daily.

Most importantly, we are open and here when you need us.
