The Eklin digital radiology system provides quicker, clearer, and faster images than film x-ray. A digital x-ray is taken and processed in less than 4 seconds. Like a digital photo, a digital radiograph can be manipulated after it is taken allowing our team to highlight the image in ways that weren’t possible with old-fashioned film x-ray. This provides the highest quality image to help diagnose and treat your pet. All of our imaging modalities are digital and linked to an archive for easy access in-hospital or remotely.
The GE Logiq digital ultrasound utilized at the AMC allows the veterinarian to visualize and examine many body organs and systems, including but not limited to the heart, liver, gall bladder, spleen, kidney, pancreas, and urinary bladder. Sedation is rarely necessary unless ultrasound-guided biopsies are being performed. Diagnostic imaging plays a critical role in the diagnosis of our patients. The ability to use this type of advanced equipment to visualize exactly what is normal or abnormal within the body of the patient with viewing access that can not be gained any other way allows us the opportunity to plan and execute effective treatment.
